TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts captured their third straight regular-season East Division crown with a thrilling 23-20 win over Montreal on Friday night. This is the first time the Argos have captured three straight regular-season division titles since 1982-1984. The Boatmen now sit at 11-1 on the season, which marks the single best start to a season in Argonauts history, surpassing the 10-1 start by the Doug Flutie-led 1996 team.

The Double Blue will once again be hosting an Eastern Final at BMO Field on Saturday, November 11 at 3:00pm. Last season saw the Argos finish 11-7 in the regular season before taking down Montreal in the division final 34-27 in front of over 21,000 fans en route to a Grey Cup victory one week later. The 2021 version of the Eastern Final saw the Boatmen fall to Hamilton at home. Since the start of 2021, Head Coach Ryan Dinwiddie’s first season at the helm, the Argos are 16-6 at BMO Field, including the postseason. This season’s version of the Argos at their waterfront stadium has them at 5-0 and beating opponents by an average of 17.8 points per game in front of the home crowd.
