Argos Add INT DL Cardell Rawlings, release four

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts announced today the club has signed INT DL Cardell Rawlings.

Rawlings, 6-2, 240lbs, spent the last five seasons (2014-2018) at Wingate University, redshirting his freshman season for the Bulldogs. The North Carolina native was a defensive force in his senior season racking up 77 tackles, 17 sacks, 21.5 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries on route to being named South Atlantic Conference’s Defensive Player of the Year as well as a Division-II All-American. The defensive lineman played 43 games for Wingate and totalled 164 tackles, 23.5 sacks, 32.5 tackles for loss, five fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles.

The club also announced today NAT QB Noah Picton, NAT DL Hassan Barry, INT DL Troy Davis and INT DL Jhaustin Thomas have been released.
