Argos sign Canadian DE James Tuck

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts announced Wednesday that the club has signed Canadian defensive end James Tuck.

Tuck, a 6-0, 230-pound native of Aurora, Ontario, returns home to Toronto with a total of 29 CFL regular season games played over the last four seasons with the Montreal Alouettes and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Originally drafted by the Alouettes in the fourth round (31st overall) of the 2014 CFL Draft, the York University product recorded 13 special teams tackles and one defensive tackle in two seasons with the Als. He tallied seven tackles on special teams in 2016 with the Blue Bombers.

Tuck played four seasons at York where he was twice named the team’s defensive MVP. In 26 games with the Lions, he recorded 107 total tackles, 15.5 tackles for a loss, 11 sacks, three forced fumbles, two pass break-ups and one fumble recovery.
