MISSISSAUGA -As first announced on yesterday’s CFL Season Preview Media Teleconference Call, the Toronto Argonauts are pleased to have officially signed 2012 CFL Canadian Draft pick, Cleyon Laing (pro: CLEE-ON LANG).

Commented Argonauts General Manager Jim Barker, “Cleyon Laing is a talented Canadian player we targeted as a top futures prospect during last year’s draft. We believe he will give us excellent depth on our defensive line and we look forward to seeing him compete in this year’s training camp.”

Laing was drafted 9th overall by the Double Blue during the 2012 CFL Canadian Draft.  Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Laing was selected as a futures prospect as he still had one more season of eligibility at Iowa State University.
