Introducing Your 2008 Argos Cheerleaders!

Family,
friends and Argos fans came to the Diesel Playhouse this past Sunday to
cheer on their favourites as the final auditions for the 2008 Argos
Cheerleaders took place. From 58 hopefuls who made the cut from the
preliminary auditions, the final squad of 36 talented ladies was chosen
in a fierce competition. Guest judges Rudy Blair from 680 News and Devo Brown
of Flow 93.5 once again helped choose who made the team based on
appearance, dance skills, and personality. Each finalist also had to
answer a question from the judges. The crowd was boisterous and, in the
end, a mix of veterans and rookies were chosen to make up the 2008
Argos Cheerleaders.

This
year, Argo great Adrion ‘Pee-Wee’ Smith handled the hosting duties.
During the deliberation process, Adrion sat down for a special
one-on-one with All-Star linebacker Kevin Eiben,
who answered questions about the upcoming season. Those in attendance
were also treated to a special performance by Dry County, who rocked
the Diesel Playhouse as the judges made the difficult task of choosing
the members of this year’s team.

the Argos Cheerleaders in action as the Boatmen take on the Hamilton
Tiger-Cats in pre-season action at Rogers Centre on June 19. Season
