College: Attended Carthage College (2015-18). Played 29 games. Totaled 100 tackles,3 tackles for loss, 11 interceptions, 33 pass knockdowns, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery. Scored two touchdowns on interceptions. Named All-Conference as a junior and a senior.

Personal: Attended Wheeling High School. Played quarterback, did not play defence. Named All-Conference and divisional Offensive Player of the Year. Also played basketball and ran track. His father Larry played at Appalachian State.
