Drew Tate – Offensive Assistant

The long-time CFL quarterback joins the Argos as an offensive advisor.

An All-Big 10 player with Iowa, Tate signed with the St. Louis Rams before heading to Canada where he became a highly successful CFL quarterback. He played primarily with Calgary, but also made stops in Ottawa and Saskatchewan. He’d win a pair of Grey Cups with the Stampeders, in 2007 and 2014.

Since retiring, the Iowa product has been coaching at several levels; the CFL, NCAA and The Spring League. He’s coached several positions and gained experience coaching on both sides of the football.

He was most recently Saskatchewan’s receivers coach.

The Baytown, Texas native had a stellar high-school career, setting state records for career passing attempts and completions.
