Demetrious Maxie – Defensive Line Coach
“D-Max” returns to the organization for which he starred.
The popular defensive lineman played 67 regular season and eight playoff games for the Argos between 1996-99 and again in 2002.
The Shreveport, Louisiana native played 14 seasons in the CFL, making stops in Toronto, Edmonton, Baltimore, Montreal, Saskatchewan, and Calgary.
He won Grey Cups here in 1996 and ’97, and with Baltimore in ’95. He was named a CFL All-Star in 1999 with the Argos and in 2000 with Saskatchewan.
After coaching at his alma mater, the University of Texas at El Paso product began his coaching career with Edmonton in 2017 as their linebackers coach. Two years later he became the defensive line coach and has been in that position ever since.
