Argos bring back Bishop

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts announced today the club has signed International DL Ken Bishop.

Bishop, 28, is coming off a 2018 campaign that saw the lineman play 16 games, recording 18 tackles and two sacks. The 6’0, 306-pound DT was originally signed by the Argos in May of 2016 and over the course of 37 career games, Bishop has 55 tackles, five sacks and one forced fumble. The Florida native is a 2014 seventh-round draft choice of the Dallas Cowboys and played in five games over two seasons tallying four tackles.

Over two seasons and 27 games at the University of Northern Illinois, Bishop recorded 125 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and was a First-Team All-MAC selection as a senior. Previous to NIU, Bishop spent two seasons at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa.
