TYRON BRACKENRIDGE – Asst. Defensive Backs Coach
Tyron Brackenridge begins his second year with the Argos as Defensive Backs Coach, after being brought on staff in 2017.
Brackenridge brings his coaching expertise to the Argos following a nine-year professional football career, five of which were spent in the Canadian Football League with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (2011-2015). During his time with the Roughriders, the two-time CFL and West Division All-Star was known for his tenacious tackling and was crowned the CFL’s ‘Hardest Hitter’ in 2013. As a member of the Riders, he notched 196 career tackles, two sacks, nine interceptions and nine forced fumbles, and played a key role in the Roughriders 101st Grey Cup Championship in 2013 under the watch of Argos Defensive Coordinator Corey Chamblin, who served as Saskatchewan’s head coach from 2011-15.
Prior to coming North to the CFL, Brackenridge spent time in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars from 2007-10. A native of Pasadena, California, Tyron played his collegiate career at Washington State University where he starred at safety and was an honourable mention All-Pac 10 section in 2006.
