TYRON BRACKENRIDGE – Defensive Backs Coach
Brackenridge is back for a third season coaching the Argonauts defensive backs.
This is the first coaching position he’s held since retiring from the CFL in 2015.
As a player in Saskatchewan, Brackenridge was feared. Regarded as the league’s hardest hitter, he quickly became a fan favourite in Rider Nation. A five-year veteran with the Riders, he headed north after four seasons with three different teams in the NFL.
As an outside linebacker and safety, Brackenridge was two-time CFL All-Star and a key member of the Roughriders 2013 Grey Cup championship team.
After starring at Upland High School in Upland, California, he attended Chaffey Junior College before transferring to Washington State. After redshirting, he started every game as a senior, earning honourable mention All-Pac 10.
Brackenridge earned an associate’s degree, general studies, at Chaffey College, then received a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Washington State University.
