2015: Played all 18 games, starting 18, at left guard in his second season with the Redblacks. Playoffs: Played in both of the team’s playoff games, including the 103rd Grey Cup in Winnipeg.

 

2014: Played 17 games in his first season in Ottawa.

College:

Played in 17 games, starting 14, in five seasons (2006-10) at Michigan State. Started all 13 games at right tackle as a fifth-year senior. Switched positions from nose tackle to offensive lineman as a red-shirt freshman in 2007.

 

 

Personal:

J’Michael Deane was born to Art and Sheryl Deane on May 4, 1986, in Hinton, Alberta, before moving to Toronto. He spent two summers playing for the Metro Toronto Wildcats of the OVFL, earning OVFL All-Star honours in 2005 as a defensive lineman. J’Michael was a four-year starter at Newtonbrook Secondary School in North York and was rated No. 8 on the Top 10 Players to Watch in the GTA in 2004. He majored in interdisciplinary studies in social science – human resources at Michigan State.
