The Toronto Argonauts strive to enhance our involvement within the Minor Football community.  Last year we were able to connect with numerous players and coaches by attending over 35 minor football events and partnering/hosting several others.  Highlights include a Football Safety Conference for 200 minor football players & coaches and an advance screening of the movie ‘When the Game Stands Tall.’  We also hosted ‘Captains Day’, a football leadership seminar at our new practice facility at Downsview Park.  75 high school football captains and coaches took in the experience.

Enhancing grassroots football in Ontario is very important to us and this can be seen through our Level The Playing Field initiative presented by Tim Horton’s.

We appreciate all the players, teams and leagues that come out to the Rogers Centre and support our club and celebrate our great game.  Our desire is to have the resources to do more in the community and connect with every minor football club.  We have opportunities that will guarantee your team some very cool experiences.  This season we will once again be offering experiences and fundraising opportunities for clubs that join us during the season as a bonus for their support.  We are currently working with teams to take part in our game days by playing full league games on our turf, participating in the pre-game scrimmage, lining up in the fan tunnel, being the beneficiary of the games 50/50 draw and much more.

Our players, cheerleaders, coaches and staff would like to thank all of those that volunteer their time to help grow football in Ontario.  We understand and appreciate the leadership, time and effort it takes.

If you have any questions or would like to secure a spot for your team to attend a game please don’t hesitate to contact us.

The Association’s mandate is to introduce as many boys and girls to the game of football (played under the Canadian rules) as possible and to ensure that they are coached safely.

The Association added one other essential element to its mandate: FUN! The emphasis on fun must be included to ensure a positive and lasting experience for each participant.
