Ka’Deem Carey – Running Backs Coach

Carey begins his transition from player to coach for the team that he won a Grey Cup with in 2024.

A talented running back for Calgary, Saskatchewan, and the Argos in his seven CFL seasons, Carey became known for his combination of speed and physicality.

A two-time consensus All-American, the Tucson, Arizona native set the record for career rushing yards at the University of Arizona, despite playing just three seasons. He declared for the NFL Draft after his junior year and was selected in the fourth round by the Chicago Bears.

After three seasons in Chicago, Carey headed north and played for four years in Calgary, leading the league in rushing in 2022. He joined the Argos in 2024 and rushed for 1,060 yards, becoming a major factor in the team’s Grey Cup win that year, scoring a touchdown in the championship game.

He signed with Saskatchewan in 2025, but his season was cut short by a serious knee injury.

Carey officially joined Toronto’s coaching staff on January 8, 2026.
