This makes Toronto EMS the largest municipal paramedic ambulance service in Canada, and one of the most comprehensive pre-hospital emergency care systems in the world.When somebody calls 911 for a medical emergency, Toronto EMS paramedics assess, treat, and transport patients to a hospital emergency department.
