Defensive Quality Control

Gavin Lake begins his second season with the Argos as Defensive Quality Control Coach with a wealth of coaching experience in the CFL, USports, CJFL and Austrian pro football.

Since his last stint in the CFL – in 2007 as the BC Lions secondary assistant –Executive VP/Offensive assistant coach of the CJFL’s Vancouver Island Raiders and head coach of the Okanagan Sun, as well as the Austrian Football League’s Amstetten Thunder. In 2010, he served as the Calgary Dinos offensive assistant under Blake Nill, helping the school reach the Vanier Cup.

Lake’s Vancouver Island Raiders won the 2008 Canadian Bowl with the help of current Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Andrew Harris.
