Chris Miller – Quarterbacks Coach

It’s a reunion for Chris and Mike Miller, no relation, who worked together for three seasons with the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals.

Chris Miller was a 1987 first round draft pick of the Atlanta Falcons after setting school passing records at Oregon, where he was twice named First Team All-Pac-10. He was named to the 1991 Pro Bowl as a Falcon, before finishing his career with the Rams and Broncos.

After his playing days ended, Miller coached high school football in Oregonbefore the Cardinals hired him in 2009 to be their quarterbacks coach. During that time Mike Miller was the pass game coordinator, then offensive coordinator, so the two have worked together closely.

A native of Pomona, California, who played his high school ball in Eugene, Oregon, Miller would return to coaching high school football after his Cardinals experience. In 2020 he spent one season in the XFL as the Houston Roughnecks offensive coordinator, working under former Argo quarterback and CFL coach June Jones, who was Miller’s offensive coordinator in Atlanta the year he made the Pro Bowl. The Roughnecks were 5-0 before the season was cancelled due to the global pandemic.

Miller then rejoined the high school ranks, most recently as the head coach at West Linn High School in Oregon.
