Bubba Walker

Richard “Bubba” Walker – Assistant Linebackers & Quality Control Coach

Bubba heads north after a lengthy career at both the NCAA and high school levels in Georgia, where he won multiple titles.

Walker entered the coaching ranks in 2003 as a graduate assistant at the Academy of Richmond County in Augusta, Georgia before moving to the powerhouse Georgia Bulldogs. That followed a productive career as a player at the University of Buffalo, where he was a three-year starter at defensive end.

He coached college football for eight additional years, including a pair of Division II national championships at Valdosta State. He then entered the high school ranks, where he also achieved great success, winning multiple regional titles and the 2015 6A Georgia state championship.

A native of Pittsburgh, Walker’s teams have posted a record of 187-70, for a .728 winning percentage.
