Double Blue Add Three to Roster

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club announced today the signing of American WR Cyrus Holder, Canadian DB Jonathan Edouard and American DL Jared Brinkman.

Holder, 6’4 and 205lbs, signed as an undrafted free agent by the Chicago Bears in May but was released shortly thereafter. The Uniondale, New York native attended Duquesne University from 2020-2021, playing in 15 games where he caught 60 passes for 1,120 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Dukes, while being named All-Conference both years. Prior to his time at Duquesne, Holder played at St. Francis  University from 2017-2018 where he hauled in 62 passes for 1,150 yards and nine touchdowns.

Edouard, 5’11 and 185lbs, played three years at Carleton University (2018-2019, 2021) and recorded 55 tackles, three interceptions, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in 15 games. The Orlando, Florida native was Second Team OUA All-Star in his first season with the Ravens. Prior to Carleton, Edouard attended Henderson State (2014-2016) where he played 32 games, tallying 69 tackles, 2.5 for loss, two interceptions and one fumble recovery.

Brinkman, 6’2 and 290lbs, attended rookie minicamp with the New York Jets this year after playing for the University of Northern Iowa from 2017-2021. The Iowa native played 55 games for the Panthers and tallied 209 tackles, 39.5 for loss, 18.5 sacks, six fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles, while being named Missouri Valley Defensive Player of the Year twice.

The team also announced the release of Canadian FB Joe Carbone and American RB Adam Cofield.
