Cordarro Law named top performer for Week 14

TORONTO – The Canadian Football League announced today that Argonauts DL Cordarro Law has been named a CFL Top Performer for week 14.

Law, in his first year with the Argos, helped put an end to any hopes of an Ottawa RedBlacks comeback on Saturday night in the nation’s capital by notching two sacks on Ottawa’s final drive. With under two minutes to go in the game and Toronto up a field goal, the six-year CFL veteran brought down RedBlacks QB Devlin Hodges on first down and two plays later, on third down, sacked the signal-caller again forcing a fumble on the play and cementing the Argos’ eighth win of the season. Law finished with a season high five tackles and a pass breakup in his fourth game of the season. The win kept the Boatmen atop the East Division standings and a win against Hamilton Friday night will lock up a first-round playoff bye. This is Toronto’s fifth Top Performer award of the season after Nick Arbuckle (week 3), Shaq Richardson (week 8), Dexter McCoil Sr. (week 10) and Boris Bede (Week 13).
