Argos Extend DB Burrell

TORONTO– The Toronto Argonauts announced today they have extended the contract of American DB Jalin Burrell.

Burrell, 24, played two games for the Argos down the stretch in 2019 recording six defensive tackles. The DB spent a month with the Kansas City Chiefs in May of 2019 prior to joining Toronto. The product of New Mexico State played two seasons for the Lobos (2017-2018) where he racked up 105 total tackles, one interception and 16 passes defended. Prior to his two years with NMSU, the California native played two seasons at Moorpark College.

The club also announced the retirement of American DB Tommie Campbell.
