TORONTO – The Canadian Football League announced today that Argos WR SJ Green has been named Top Performer for Week 18.
Green, 34, had a record-setting night at BMO Field on Friday as the Argos took down the RedBlacks 28-21. The 13-year CFL veteran caught 10 passes for 170 yards including his 10,000th career-yard and 700th-career reception on the night. The future Hall of Famer moved into 16thall-time in career receiving yards (10,080) and 13th all-time in career receptions (702). The South Florida product has amassed 71 catches for 897 yards and three touchdowns in 2019, good for eighth and 12th in the league respectively. This would be Green’s seventh career 1,000-yard season if he were to gain another 103 yards over the next three games.
Winnipeg’s Andrew Harris and Marcus Sayles were also named CFL Top Performers for Week 18 (second and third respectively).
