Week 11 – Who’s in, Who’s out

Just a reminder that these are the starting lineups for Sunday’s game against Montreal. The lineups may change during the game due to formations and matchups and are fluid during the game.

McLeod Bethel-Thompson will start at quarterback. He completed 73-percent of his passes and threw for a pair of TDs with no interceptions in the Argos last game against Edmonton. James Franklin returns to the lineup and will be the backup, with Dakota Prukop listed as the third QB. Mike O’Connor has been moved to the one-game injured list.

The Argos again list the trio of Brandon Burks, James Wilder Jr. and Chris Rainey at running back. Banks and Rainey combined for 101 yards rushing and 46 receiving yards with a TD last week. The Argos have activated fullback Declan Cross from the six-game injured list and he’ll make his return to the lineup with Regis Cibasu moved to the one-game injured list.

There is one change in the receiving corps as Llevi Noel returns from injury. None of the receivers active from a week ago will be deleted from the roster. S.J. Green, Derel Walker, Armanti Edwards, Rodney Smith and Jimmy Ralph will start. Along with Noel, Alex Charette, Kurleigh Gittens Jr., and Kimi Linnainmaa will dress.

The offensive line remains the same as a week ago. From left to right the starters are Isiah Cage, Tyler Holmes, Sean McEwen, Will Campbell and Jamal Campbell. Ryan Bomben will serve as the extra o-lineman.

There’s one change in the starting defensive line as Davon Coleman replaces Ken Bishop at tackle. Bishop was released Friday, as were Jeff Finley and John Biewald. Jhaustin Thomas makes his second CFL start next to Coleman, while Linden Gaydosh will rotate through. At ends, Robbie Smith and Freddie Bishop III will start. Frank Beltre will again backup, while Kennan Gilchrist is in for Tobi Antigha.

Justin Herdman-Reed will again start at middle linebacker, with Ian Wild on the weak side. Their backups remain the same, with Micah Awe, Nakas Onyeka, Nelkas Kwemo and Sean Harrington in the lineup. Jermaine Gabriel moves from the strong-side back to safety and Adbul Kanneh moves into the box.

Gabriel’s return to safety moves Alden Darby Jr. to one corner, replacing Jonathan Dowling, who moves to the practice roster. Trumaine Washington will start on the other side. Kevin Fogg returns to the lineup and will start in the halfback spot Kanneh vacates, with Qudarius Ford on the other side. Matt Boateng and Robert Woodson are the backups.

Tyler Crapigna placekicks, Ronnie Pfeffer punts, and Jake Reinhart handles the long snapping.
