Bye Week Chronicles – Week 14

The final bye week of the season is over and the boys get back to work on Saturday as practice resumes in preparation for the September 22nd game against Saskatchewan. The team had almost a full week off so let’s see how the boys spent their bye week.

James Wilder Jr. stayed in town spending time with the family and made a trip to Malvern Junior Public School in the city’s East end to deliver the end result of his #WilderforaCause campaign.

James, with the help of donations from fans, delivered 135 notebooks, 100 picture books, 124 glue sticks, 83 crayon boxes, 30 lunch boxes, 200+ pencils, and 66 book bags.

On his visit, James spoke about the importance of school, respect and never giving up. Well done, James.

On the theme of giving back, DL Cam Walker was back in Guelph visiting his old school and giving some pointers to the DEs.

Declan Cross was also back at an alma mater paying a visit to his old high school in Oakville speaking to the Jr and Sr football teams and showing off his Grey Cup Bling.

Dexter McCluster was back home in Nashville to spend time with his family and will be bringing a new look up with him back to Toronto.

Alex Charrette spent the bye relaxing in a hot tub with a view.

Jamal Campbell spent some time up at the cottage with Argos’ chaplain Herbie Kuhn.

And Nakas Onyeka with a tweet all football fans can agree with.
