Bye Week Chronicles – Week 9

Fresh off their incredible come from behind victory over the Ottawa REDBLACKS the Argos enjoyed a rare six days off as the team heads into their second of three bye weeks. There was a proposal, a hilarious gender reveal, and lots of trips to Wonderland. Here is what some of the guys got up to this week.

We start close to home with the hero from last week’s ball game Armanti Edwards and the family taking a trip to Canada’s Wonderland. He was joined by James Wilder Jr. and managed to capture an epic picture of the RB enjoying the kiddie coaster Siver Streak.

Speaking of family, running back Dexter McCluster headed back down to Tennessee to spend time with his wife and three daughters. He also had a chance to do a gender reveal for his expected fourth child. His reaction is priceless. (Swipe/click to the fourth video)

A couple of the players joined Kate Pettersen for a special You Can Play video shoot on Tuesday night. Stay tuned for more content from that.

And finally kicker Ronnie Pfeffer spent the bye week in Ottawa executing an extravagant proposal to girlfriend Andree-Anne. Congratulations to both!

In 2011, my braha @emrabajufo took me to Bricker Residence to meet up with a friend of his from high school that was visiting. While we were walking over there he looked at me and said "You two are very similar, I can see you dating her one day". Me being my regular self I laughed it off and went to meet up with them and thought nothing of it. Instantly we started laughing together and singing songs the entire night. However @jnkrane told me that it would never work so I decided to become friends with @andreecolangelo and for four years we communicated through social media. In 2015, the Ottawa Redblacks decided to sign me and this was my chance to finally get to know the girl of my dreams. After the first date we instantly couldn't leave each others sides. After three years of dating I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else. August 4th, 2018, is a day I will remember forever. It was the day the girl of my dreams said yes to being my wife. After sending her on an extravagant scavenger hunt throughout Ottawa taking her to all of our memorable places with surprises from friends at each spot (first date, our first kiss etc.) I was able to go down on one knee, look her in the eyes and fall in love with her all over again. This day wouldn't have been possible without the help of amazing friends @benjamincc97 @shubsengupta @westaylor @zcoish @rachfobert @anastasiax.o @rob_alguire Dre I love you and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. These past three years have been the best years of my life and I am excited to see what the future has in store for us.
