First Argos QB to surpass 100 TD passes

TORONTO – Toronto Argonauts quarterback Ricky Ray became the franchise’s all-time leader in passing touchdowns, surpassing the great Condredge Holloway.

Ray threw his 99th career touchdown as an Argo when he connected with Declan Cross in the second quarter of today’s game against the Montreal Alouettes at BMO Field.

Ray is now the Argos all-time leader in passing yards, completions, attempts and passing touchdowns.

Later in the first half, Ray connected with Armanti Edwards for his fourth touchdown pass of the half and the 100th of his career in Double Blue. He is now the only quarterback in CFL history with 100+ passing touchdowns for more than one franchise.

In the first half of Saturday afternoon’s game, Ray completed 21-of-23 passes for 260 passing yards and four touchdown passes.
