Argos Transaction – July 11

The Toronto Argonauts announced the following transactions on Tuesday afternoon:

The following players have been RELEASED by the club:

  • International LB Marshall McFadden (South Carolina St.)
  • Canadian LB Curtis Newton (Guelph)

McFadden played in eight games with the club during his 2016 rookie season, tallying 36 defensive tackles and one special teams tackle.

Newton played in 18 games for the Argos after being selected in the fifth round (40th overall) of the 2016 CFL Draft. He tallied five special teams tackles in 16 games last season and two special teams tackles in two games in 2017.
