The Toronto Argonauts announced Tuesday that the team has released international DB Winston Rose and added international DB Qudarius Ford to the practice roster.

Ford, a 5-9, 170-pound native of Pensacola, Florida, spent 2017 Training Camp with the Argonauts before being released as part of the team’s final cuts on June 17.

He originally signed with the Argos following a free agent workout on April 24, 2017, in Bradenton, Florida. One of five standouts at the free agent camp, Ford was signed and asked to attend the team’s minicamp for the following three days at IMG Academy in Bradenton.

In two preseason games with the Argos, this past June, the South Alabama product tallied two defensive tackles, one special teams tackle and one interception.

Prior to gaining his first CFL experience with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2016, Ford spent five seasons at South Alabama (2010-15) where he totaled 76 tackles, two interceptions, and six pass breakups. As a junior, he was named a second-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection before missing his final year with the Jaguars due to injury.
