Group Field, QB Ricky Ray set a new CFL record for completion percentage in a single game (95%). He completed 19 of 20 pass attempts before leaving the game in the third quarter.

Ray supplanted himself in the CFL record books. Prior to tonight, he held the league record at 92%, set on October 31, 2008 against the Montreal Alouettes. Ray also set an Argos all-time record as he shattered the previous single-game completion percentage mark of 87.1% set by Condredge Holloway on July 12, 1985 against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Earlier in the game, Ray also took over third place on the CFL’s all-time completions list, passing Danny McManus with 3,644 career completions.

The Toronto Argonauts’ next game is Tuesday, July 30 at 7:30pm when the Double Blue host the BC Lions at Rogers Centre.
