ARGONATUS.CA STAFF

TORONTO – With five weeks in the books, Argonauts.ca goes by the numbers with Brandon Isaac, one of the key acquisitions that new Defensive Coordinator Chris Jones brought to Toronto to form the new look Argos defence.

2 Isaac already has two sacks this season. In his two prior CFL seasons, he had a total of 3.

5 Brandon is ranked fifth on the Argos with twelve tackles.

6 The South Carolina native had six tackles July 7th against Calgary, two more than his previous career best for tackles in one game. He also added a sack and a forced fumble, on the same play, against his former Stampeders teammates that game.

9 In 2009 he set a Manchester Wolves (AFL) single season record with nine interceptions.

43 The number of tackles “B.I.” is on pace for this season, a number that would nearly double his career best of 24.

87 As a dual position senior in high school in 2003, Isaac had 87 tackles.

1,000 In that same senior season, Isaac rushed for over 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns; he also threw for over 500 yards and seven TD’s. We double checked this multiple times, so stop rubbing your eyes.

1,459 The amount of kilometers between Isaac’s hometown of Blackville, South Carolina and Toronto.

2003 In his senior year of high school Brandon played in the South Carolina-North Carolina Shrine Bowl and was named All-Area, All Region and All-State in both football and basketball.
