Personal: Swayze is the son of Susan and Joel Waters. He attended Jackson Prep in Jackson, Mississippi, where he was the kicker, wide receiver and punter. Swayze was the team’s leading receiving for three years. In his senior year, he was named an all-state selection and the team’s Most Valuable Player after having 35 catches for 813 yards and 10 touchdowns and kicking 14 field goals. He was also a member of Jackson Prep’s baseball and track teams.
