David is the son of Mike and Gail Lee, and brother to Krista and Andrea. Lee graduated from A.B Lucas Secondary School in London, Ontario. In high school, he won numerous awards including the Bob Gooder Award, Male Athlete of the Year at A.B Lucas, and also Silver Anniversary Award at A.B Lucas. He was also the captain of both the junior and senior football teams at A.B Lucas, and the London United Blitz soccer squad. In 2011, David was selected to be a member of the U-19 IFAF World Team to play against the USA junior national team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Lee also takes enjoys and takes interest in rugby, soccer, hockey track and ultimate Frisbee.
