Selected by Toronto in the third round (22nd overall) in the 2011 CFL Canadian Draft. The pick was originally acquired by Toronto in 2008, from Saskatchewan, in exchange for QB Michael Bishop.

Alexander “Zander” Robinsonwas a kinesiology major at Western University. He attended Vancouver College in his hometown Vancouver, B.C. His parents are Patrick and Leigh. He has three siblings named Matthew, Isabelle and Jacqueline. Zander lists his favourite movie as Shawshank Redemption and his favourite show is Trailer Park Boys.  Zander travelled to Southeast Asia this off-season with his brother and three close friends, visiting seven different countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, South Korea and Japan). He immersed himself each of their cultures and adopted Buddhism. When he returned to Vancouver he enrolled in the Canadian Securities Course.
