Where is your hometown/where do you currently live? My hometown is Mississauga... although most of my family is in Calgary, Alberta.
Please describe your favourite moment as an Argos Cheerleader. It is so difficult to pick a favourite moment when I have had so many amazing experiences on this team. A few moments certainly stand out: during Grey Cup 2007 in Toronto, a middle aged gentleman asked if myself and Erin could possibly come meet his father. We made our way through Rogers Centre and finally came to where his dad was sitting. His father was elderly, in a wheelchair and was using a respirator - he was clearly very ill but having the most amazing time. The way his face looked when we arrived is something I could never describe - a combination of elation, perplexity, wonderment, and exhilaration... truly indescribable. When I looked to his son, he had tears in his eyes. He was so excited for his father, and so moved that we were willing to push our way through the crowd to bring his father a little happiness. After we walked away, I started crying - I felt so honoured and privileged to have been part of that moment and it is something I will never forget.
What has been your most embarrassing moment? I'm always embarrassing myself. There is truly not one moment that stands out. I am simply notorious for saying ridiculous things and "putting my foot in my mouth."
10 years from now I’ll be… Middle aged!!! Arghhhh! I will also be: a wife, a mother, a successful chiropractor/small business owner, and a dance teacher.
My ‘perfect’ day would consist of… An uninterrupted sleep. Breakfast in bed. Time with my beloved family and friends. A dance class with Luther Brown. A dinner that includes King Crab, lots of butter, and endless Diet Pepsi! Vanilla mini-cupcakes for dessert! Finish it off with a movie at the theatre with movie popcorn - yum!
Something no one knows about me is… I never started dancing until my mid-twenties. I was a competitive swimmer for 16 years and did not "retire" until my 2nd year on the varsity team at McMaster. I qualified for Olympic Trials/Nationals in the 800m and 1500m freestyle. In my 3rd year of University, I played varsity water polo. I was HORRIBLE and never left the bench! I started dancing in my forth year and never looked back! Also, I have 3 years of boxing/kickboxing training through Cliff Silvera and Ryan Kingsberry (Martial Arts for Montessori - formerly United Family Martial Arts), Chris Johnston (Fighting Alliance), Billy Martin (Bramalea Boxing Club), Kombat Arts, and Mike Miles in Calgary. Oh ... and I'm completely obsessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer (fighting cheerleader ... get it? hahaha), Smallville, and Heroes!!!!
Anything else you’d like to tell fans about yourself? I want to tell the fans how amazing the last 3 seasons have been. Our fans are incredibly thoughtful, and dedicated - we appreciate your support and commitment - win or lose we can always count on you to motivate and support our team. Thanks for 3 amazing seasons and I look forward to 2008!
