Local musicians, atheletes and entertainers from accross the GTA came out by the dozens Tuesday night to help raise money for Haiti relief with all proceeds going to Unicef Canada.

Organized by TSN's James Cybulski and 102.1 the Edge DJ and former drummer of punk rock quartet Goldfinger Darrin Pfeiffer, the evening entitled Toronto Plays For Haiti included local celebrities of all types including current Toronto Argonauts WR Obed Cétoute and LB Raymond Fontaine who both have friends & family in many of the areas hit hardest by the earthquake.

Joining Cétoute and Fontaine at the event were Argos Vice-Chair Michael 'Pinball' Clemons and Canadian Oympian Donovan Bailey, with performances by Die Mannequin, illScarlett, Maestro Fresh Wes, The Salads with Choclair, The Trews, Moneen, USS, and The Junction.among many.

Every dollar donated by individual Canadians was matched dollar for dollar by the Canadian International Development Agency. Organizers estimate that upto $40,000 dollars was raised which will be doubled to nearly $80,000!
