TORONTO - Coming out of the Argonauts' bye week, argonauts.ca has decided to take you "by the numbers" with Toronto native, Andre Durie. Through the first six week of the season, Durie has become a reliable outlet in the Argonauts' offence.
1 – On his first carry of his CFL career Andre Durie scored his first CFL touchdown.
2 – Durie is ranked second among Argonauts receivers in total yards with 437.
4 – Through the first six games Durie has had four games with 5 or more catches.
5 – Since 2009, he has had five receiving touchdowns.
6 – In his sophomore season at York, Andre Durie tied the CIS single-game record with 6 touchdowns in a game to lead his team to a 55-33 victory over Windsor on October 16, 2004.
10 – Andre Durie set a career-high in receptions in week two vs. Calgary with 10.
11 – It has been 11 years since Andre Durie has played minor football in the Ontario Varsity Football League, yet he still holds the record for most touchdowns in a single game with 6.
12 - In his six-year career, Durie has accumulated a total of 12 games with five or more catches.
13 – Not only is it the number that ‘Dre first wore as an Argonaut but 13 is also the amount of games that he has had 50+ yards receiving.
22 – Running backs in the Ontario Varsity Football League clearly have not been as elusive as Andre Durie since 2001. Durie still holds the record for rushing touchdowns in a season with 22.
38 – The Mississauga native has had 38 receptions so far in 2012. With 12 games left in the 2012 regular season, Durie is just 16 receptions shy of reaching his career-high set in 2010 and met again in 2011
96 – He is currently the single-season record holder for points scored at York University with 96.
144 – On November 3, 2011, he recorded a career-high for receiving yards in a single game vs. Hamilton with 144.
200 – In 2004, ‘Dre’ started in eight games for the York Lions. In four of the eight games he rushed for more than 200 yards, including a 334-yard performance vs. Windsor where he scored four touchdowns.
665 – In 2011, Durie set a career-high for receiving yards in a season with 665 yards on 54 receptions.
1,759 – In five seasons with the Argonauts, Durie has compiled 1,759 yards receiving. The bulk of his receiving yards have been compiled from 2010 to the present date.
