MISSISSAUGA – The Toronto Argonauts are pleased to announce that CB Jordan Younger has re-signed with the club.

Younger is a six year CFL veteran who first joined Toronto in 2004.  His career totals include 277 defensive tackles and 12 interceptions including one touchdown. He’s a two-time CFL All-Star, a three-time East Division All-Star and won a Grey Cup championship in 2004.  Younger started 13 games on defence, missing five due to injury, for the Argos last season.

Younger remarked, “I just want to thank the diehard Argos fans for sticking with us over the last two seasons.  We are all working hard to give you something to cheer for in 2010.  Most of what I’ve learned playing in this league has come from guys like Mike O’Shea and Orlondo Steinauer.  Their character and work ethic makes coming back to Toronto exciting and my outlook for this season is extremely optimistic.”

Commented Argonauts Head Coach Jim Barker, “Jordan has been a very productive player for the Argonauts in the past.  At the time he was released by the club, we felt it appropriate to allow him to explore his options.  Once the new coaching staff was hired, he was able to get a much clearer picture of how he will fit in here.  We are excited he has decided to be a part of what we are building.”
