MISSISSAUGA - Following a home-and-home sweep of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, the Toronto Argonauts have received their second consecutive CFL Offensive Player of The Week award! RB Chad Kackert earned the award for his career game against the Tiger-Cats this past Saturday at Rogers Centre. This is his second career CFL Offensive Player of the Week award (Week 5, 2011).

Kackert broke out against Hamilton recording 172 yards rushing on 16 carries, and 67 yards on six receptions for a total of 239 all-purpose yards. Kackert also scored three (3) rushing touchdowns and, in doing so, became the ninth Argonauts player in team history to have at least three rushing touchdowns in one game - the first since Michael Jenkins in 2001. Two of Kackert’s touchdowns came on long runs of 43 and 39 yards, the other was on a spectacular sweep to the left ending with Kackert diving over the corner pylon for the major!
After his big day on Saturday, Kackert sits first in the league in Yards Per Carry (7.6) among running backs with more than 40 carries. He has totalled 365 yards in total rushing to go along with nineteen receptions for 185 yards and five (5) total touchdowns.
