AN OPEN APOLOGY TO ARGOS AND CFL FANS FROM ARLAND BRUCE:
On Canada Day at our CFL season opener, I celebrated my touchdown in a way that caused our team penalties and resulted in a League fine for myself. While trying to pay tribute to Michael Jackson and show everyone what a fan I am of his work, I unintentionally upset Argos fans and CFL fans across this country. I apologize.
I am a passionate individual when it comes to my job of playing professional football. I pride myself on being a professional but what I did was unprofessional. Playing for the CFL has made me a better person and the fans of the Toronto Argonauts have always been excellent to me. I am sorry I let down my teammates, fans of football and supporters of our club and league.
My intent moving forward is to refrain from touchdown antics and not behave in counterproductive ways while playing the game that I love.
From my heart,
Arland Bruce III
