Noteworthy Numbers: Hajrullahu’s first season in Double Blue

88.1% – Hajrullahu connected on 37-of-42 field goal attempts in his first season as an Argonaut, setting a new career mark for single-season success rate. The Western product’s previous high of 87.0 came as a rookie during the 2014 season.

15 – The 15 straight field goals that Hajrullahu connected on between July 31 and September 11 tied Noel Prefontaine for the Argos’ third-highest mark in team history. The six-game streak, which was kicked off with a five field goal performance on the road in Ottawa, was two games shorter than Prefontaine’s streak that spanned eight games between June 17 and August 25, 2006.

6-of-7 – In just his third game in Double Blue, the third-year kicker put together quite the performance, notching 19 points on 6-of-7 field goals against the BC Lions. Becoming just the fifth kicker in team history with six or more field goals in a single game, Hajrullahu tied Lance Chomyc, Noel Prefontaine and Swayze Waters for the team’s second-highest single game mark.

1,218 – The 37 field goals successfully made by Hajrullahu this season totalled 1,218 yards in distance for an average kick distance of 32.9 yards.

81.3% – Hajrullahu attempted 16 field goals from 40+ yards in 2016, connecting on 10-of-12 attempts from 40-49 yards and 3-of-4 from 50+. His 81.3% success rate from outside of the 40-yard marker ranked second in the CFL, narrowly behind the top mark of 83.3%.
