TORONTO — As the 2016 CFL regular season comes to a close, CFL ON TSN’s special Live Mic Broadcast returns to deliver another immersive experience for Canadian football fans. On Saturday November 5th, as part of a Week 20 triple header of games, the Edmonton Eskimos and the Toronto Argonauts will bring you into the huddle, allowing fans to listen to multiple quarterbacks, and coaches, each wearing live microphones all game long.

Live Mic Broadcasts have resulted in a 17%* increase in CFL ON TSN television audiences compared to average audiences for non-Live Mic games. The October 8th Western Division clash between the B.C. Lions and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers marks the most-watched Live Mic Broadcast, drawing an average audience of 792,000 and reaching a total of 2.7 million unique Canadian viewers.

This season’s inaugural Live Mic Broadcast – a matchup between the Calgary Stampeders and Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Sunday, August 28 – saw a total of 2.4 million unique Canadian viewers tune in to TSN for some part of the innovative broadcast experience.

“As the League’s official broadcaster, our mandate is to innovate and elevate the viewing experience for CFL fans,” said Paul Graham, Vice-President and Executive Producer, Live Events, TSN. “By way of our partnership with the CFL, the CFLPA, and the teams, we’re looking forward to delivering another Live Mic Broadcast, which has proven to be a hit for CFL fans.”
