Argos Add DB Jerald Brown to Practice Roster

The Toronto Argonauts announced today that the team has added international defensive back Jerald Brown to the practice roster.

Brown re- joins the Argonauts after spending time with the club during training camp in June and the last seven seasons with the Montreal Alouettes. In 102 career regular season games, 95 of which he has started, the 5-11, 185-pound native of Washington, DC has registered 279 defensive tackles, one special teams tackle, 18 interceptions, seven fumble recoveries and 19 pass knockdowns with the Als. The 2013 CFL All-Star and three-time East Division All-Star helped the Alouettes to back-to-back Grey Cup Championships in 2009 and 2010.

The two-time Grey Cup Champion etched his name into the Alouettes record book returning a fumble recovery 103 yards for a touchdown in the Alouettes Eastern Semi-Final win over the BC Lions in 2014.

The Argonauts also announced today that the club has released international receiver Markeith Ambles.
