Argos sign Three to Practice Roster; Activate McPherson

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts announced today that the team has added international defensive back Marcus Alford, international kicker Ryan Hawkins and international running back Chase Price to the practice roster.

Alford, a 5-10, 160-pound, native of Mobile, Alabama played 41 games in four seasons at Northern Arizona University. The two-time first-team All-Big Sky selection registered 105 tackles, two tackles for a loss, seven interceptions, one fumble recovery and 28 pass deflections with the Lumberjacks.

Hawkins, a 5-11, 185-pound native of Peoria, Arizona, converted 23-of-38 field goal attempts (82.1%) while punting 73 times for an average of 47.7 yards at Northern Arizona. As a senior in 2015, he connected on 11-of-12 field goal attempts (92%) and punted 53 times for a 46.4-yard average.

Price, a 5-8, 200-pound native of La Habra, California, finished his college career with 1,874 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on 377 carries while hauling in 34 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown at San Diego State.  He added 10 kickoff returns for 184 yards as a senior.

The Argonauts also announced today that the club has activated international quarterback Adrian McPherson from the six-game injured list and released international defensive lineman Joshua Watson.
