Canadian OL Wayne Smith Re-Signs with Argos

Toronto – The Toronto Argonauts announced today that the club has re-signed national offensive lineman Wayne Smith through the 2017 CFL season.

Comment from Argonauts General Manager, Jim Barker: “Wayne’s versatility has made him an invaluable member of our offensive line since he arrived in Toronto. He is a leader in the locker room and a player that has really bought into the Argonauts culture.”

Smith, a 6-2, 300-pound native of Burlington, Ontario enters his 12th CFL season and fifth with the Argonauts. Since he originally signed with the Argonauts in April 2012, he has appeared in 68 regular season games, starting in 40 of those games. The two-time Grey Cup Champion played in 16 regular season games for the Boatmen last season.
