Argos Add Two to Roster

Toronto – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club announced today that the team has signed international defensive lineman Jamal Young and national receiver Malcolm Williams.

Young, a 6-4, 240-pound native of McComb, Mississippi, played one season at Jones County Community College after transferring from Southern Mississippi (2012-13) and Butler County Collegiate (2010-11) where he was a member of the track and field team. In one season at Jones County C.C., he registered 34 tackles (23 solo, 11 assisted), two sacks and three fumble recoveries with the Bobcats. He spent training camp with the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season.

Williams, a 6-3, 221-pound native of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, played three seasons with the CJFL’s Langley Rams. In 2014, he hauled in 38 passes for 580 yards and seven touchdowns with the Rams. Prior to joining the Rams in 2012, he played basketball at the University of British Columbia.
