Argonauts sign Canadian kicker Anthony Alix

TORONTO – The Toronot Argonauts announced today that the team has signed national kicker Anthony Alix to the practice roster. 

Alix, a 6-0, 187-pound native of Mon-Tremblant, Quebec returns to Toronto for a second stint with the Boatmen. Prior to signing with the Argos, Alix played six games with the Ottawa REDBLACKS earlier this season, punting 37 times for 1,569 yards, an average of 42.6 yards per punt. 

In nine career CFL games, the St. Francis Xavier product has punted 39 times for 1,662 yards, an average for 42.6 yards per punt, while hitting 66.6% of his field goal attempts. 

The Argonauts also announced today that that team has released international kicker Michael Palardy.
