Announcing The Rushes Football Film Festival Presented By Nolitours…

TORONTO Rushes Football Film Festival presented by Nolitours will launch the 100th Grey Cup Festival with the classic film BRIAN’S SONG on Thursday, November 15 at 7:00 PM.  The first-ever film festival of its kind, Rushes will take place at the Scotiabank Theatre, running from Thursday through Sunday, November 18, and will feature some of football’s most celebrated films.  Each screening will be accompanied with an introduction and panel discussion following the film featuring some of the greatest CFL alumni and other celebrities from the worlds of film, television and sports, all moderated by esteemed film critic Richard Crouse.  Opening night will see four-time Grey Cup champion Michael “Pinball” Clemons participate in a pre-screening panel along with the film’s star, Billy Dee Williams. 

Rushes presented by Nolitours is another example of the scope of the 100th Grey Cup Festival, illustrating the great variety of events available for fans to join in the celebrations.  Film lovers and football fans will debate and reminisce over the best football films of all time!   Capture an inside perspective on these great moments of popular and sport culture from the experts through informative and engaging conversations prior to each screening, attended by stars from the sports, film and television worlds.
