Years on the team: 2 years
Birthday: July 23
Occupation: Professional Dancer/Choreographer and Event Coordinator
Favourite Argos memory: Receiving my second blue rose at auditions, allowing me to continue my journey as an Argos Cheerleader!
What do you like to do in your spare time? I love to travel.
How do you stay in shape in the off season? I teach dance all year around, which keeps me in the studio and helps me stay in shape. As well, to maintain the type of energy I need to dance professionally, I've tried my best to adopt healthy eating habits.
When did you start dancing/cheerleading? For the past two decades, I have been trained in various types of dance including jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, and acrobatics.
What inspired you to try-out for the Argos Cheerleaders? I have always thrived in performing and competing and LOVE sports, so I jumped at the opportunity to combine my passions: dancing and sports. I previously danced for another professional sports team in Toronto and enjoyed it so much that I wanted a new challenge. I had such a positive and exciting experience as an Argos Cheerleader this past year and couldn’t wait for another year of dancing.
If you could make one dream come true, what would it be? I would love the opportunity to be the principle dancer in a movie - like Natalie Portman in Black Swan!
Tell us something most people don't know about you: I am addicted to reality TV.
What are you most excited about regarding the 100th Grey Cup? Last year the Grey Cup was held in Vancouver and I remember the rush I had when I stepped out on to the field to dance and saw the crowd of fans. Now that we are celebrating in my hometown of Toronto, at Rogers Center, I can only begin to imagine the pride and excitement I will feel. The tradition, the city of Toronto, and the incredible fans will make this Grey Cup one to remember!
Players often have pre-game routines, what's your pre-game routine? We practice and train for this moment, so game day is our time to enjoy ourselves. We play our favourite songs in the dressing room, get pumped up and rock out on the field!
Where do you see yourself in five years? I am not sure what the future holds for me, but I hope to continue to surround myself with the people I love most and live every moment to the very fullest.
What or who is your greatest inspiration? My biggest inspiration is my incredibly passionate and loving mom. She has brought me up to always believe in myself and to be warm kind and caring. She is the strongest person I know and has always been the rock in my life. Her love, guidance and support in everything I do has made me who I am and inspires me to always reach for the stars!
