Years on the team: 3
Birthday: June 16th
Favoruite Argo memory: Nothing compares to my first year auditions, it was so long ago but whenever I hear the song “Rock that body” by The Black Eyed Peas I get very excited (that was the song we danced to for my audition). I didn’t know what to expect because before that week I didn’t even know it was a possibility but it was an unreal feeling hearing my name called for the 2010 team.
What do you like to do in your spare time? I like to spend time with my cat, Chipotle, and if you’ve read my bios in past years you’ll know that if I’m not with my cat, I’m either working or at karaoke! I also love country music so anywhere I can listen to some good country tunes, or ride the bull I am there!
How do you stay in shape in the off season? I have 3 dogs at my house (as well as my cat) and I like to take them for walks everyday for about 30 minutes. They need that exercise just as much as I do!
When did you start dancing/cheerleading? I started dancing when I was 9 years old and cheerleading when I started with the Argos back in 2010.
What inspired you to try-out for the Argos cheerleading team? I had a friend who was an Argos super-fan and he told me about the auditions the week of, so I was super nervous. I had no idea what to expect but it was the best decision I made because I love my team and this is definitely a once in a life-time opportunity!
If you could make one dream come true what would it be? I would like to make the world greener. I would love everyone to start using the compost and recycling a lot more, especially in businesses. My dream is to keep this planet clean for all the generations to come.
Tell us something most people don’t know about you: I was a nail biter for my whole life up until 5 months ago and now my nails are long and beautiful.
What are you most excited about reagarding the 100th Grey Cup? I am excited to show everyone how amazing Toronto is. I want this year to blow all the other Grey Cups out of the water and there are so many exciting things planned already that I cannot wait for, more to come for sure that I don’t even know about yet!
Players often have pre game routines, what’s your pre game routine? Drink lots of water, take lots of pictures, jump around the change room singing country music and getting everyone else to laugh and get in the zone for the game.
Where do you see yourself in five years? Probably still cheerleading for the Argos! I’d also like to be in school, or graduating and perhaps starting my own business… I’m thinking a Cowboy Karaoke bar?!
What or who is your greatest inspiration? I would have to say that my mom is pretty amazing, she’s caring and thoughtful and motherly to everyone she meets, I can’t imagine my life without her and I’m grateful for the life lessons she’s taught me.
