Years on the team: 2
Birthday: August 30th
Occupation: Dancer/Dance Teacher
Favourite Argo memory: It’s hard to choose just one when you’re apart of this team, there’s so many great moments and memories… but I’d have to say Grey Cup last year. It was such an amazing experience, and I can’t wait for the Grey Cup this year in Toronto.
What do you like to do in your spare time? I love hanging out by my pool with friends and family during the summer, or going to the drive-in. When you can't get a hold of me, I'm usually letting off some steam at the gym.
How do you stay in shape in the off season? In the off season I go to the gym just as often as I would during the season. Your body gets out of shape so easily, it’s important to keep it up. I LOVE hot yoga, it’s a great way to rid stress and of course warm up in the colder months!
When did you start dancing/cheerleading? I started dancing competitively when I was about 6 years old, and it's been an important part of my life ever since.
What inspired you to try-out for the Argos cheerleading team? I tried out for the Argos Cheerleaders because I love dancing/performing, and wanted to have an amazing group of people to do it with. The Argos are also an organization that gives back to the community which I love being apart of.
If you could make one dream come true what would it be: For the Argos not only to be in the 100th Grey Cup, but to WIN the 100th Grey Cup in our home town!
Tell us something most people don’t know about you: I have a guilty obsession for horror movies.
What are you most excited about regarding the 100th Grey Cup? Just getting the opportunity to be apart of a historical event is exciting in itself! But I’m really excited about performing, and attending all the festivals, and of course the game!
Players often have pre game routines, what’s your pre game routine? Checking and re-checking… and re-checking my luggage before I leave the house to make sure I have everything! Once were at the Rogers Center we have our on field rehearsal to run thru all our routines one last time before we perform them. Then we head up to our change room to getready. Music is essential! We always have music playing while we get ready. It gets us pumped up before we go on field!
Where do you see yourself in five years? Doing what I love, teaching and inspiring kids to dance.
What or who is your greatest inspiration? My Family. Each family member inspires me in different ways, and they give unconditional support in everything I do. I don’t know what I’d do without them. They’re my rock!
