Years on the team: 1st Year . . . I’m a Rookie!
Birthday: October 18th
Occupation: Full-Time Student. Graduated with Honours in Criminology and Contemporary Studies and a Minor in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University. I am now in the process of applying to law school.
Hometown: Richmond Hill
Favourite Argos memory: So far it would most definitely be auditions! I remember being so nervous during tryouts but the women on this team welcomed me with open arms and the nerves turned into happy emotions!!! I am looking forward to making many more memories with my new Argos family!
What do you like to do in your spare time? I enjoy keeping busy for the most part, but in my spare time I enjoy relaxing with family and friends. There’s nothing better than good times and great laughs.
How do you stay in shape in the off season? Working out, eating healthy, staying optimistic are just a few components, in my opinion, to living a healthy lifestyle. I feel as though off season is just as important as the season! A healthy lifestyle should be maintained regardless of the time of year . . . Hard work always pays off!
When did you start dance/cheerleading? I began dancing at the age of 6 and have not stopped since. I have danced at various studios as well as for my University. My top 3 styles of dance would have to be Jazz, Hip-Hop and Contemporary!
What inspired you to try-out for the Argos cheerleading team? I wanted to try something new, exciting and fresh. Something that would challenge me in a way that I had not yet experienced. The Argos cheerleading team has already done that and more!
If you could make one dream come true what would it be? For the Toronto Argonauts, to win the 100th GREY CUP!
Tell us something most people don’t know about you: I love sports!! Although I have a huge passion for dance, I have been on numerous other sports teams such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, rugby and even flag football where I played as a wide receiver!
What you are most excited about regarding the 100th Grey Cup? Torontonians coming together as a community to support the Argos. This week long event is going to be EPIC! It will be a time to spend with family and friends. Moments full of good times, great laughs, community spirit and so much more! I am so excited to have been given the privilege to be a part of the team this year because I will be able to experience this first had with my community!
Players often have pre game routines, what’s your pre game routine? The most important thing before a game is a good night sleep! Being well rested comes a long way when you’re on the go! A little crazy dance right before the game always helps too!!
Where do you see yourself in five years? I tend to live my life day to day and live in the moment, but I hope in five years to have begun my career as a lawyer working at a firm in Toronto.
What or who is your greatest inspiration? Undoubtedly my family! It is because of their unconditional love, support, inspiration, guidance and so much more that I have become the woman I am today! I would not have been able to do it without them!
